Falcon Studio LLC, a mid-sized gaming company looking to expand its portfolio, wanted to launch a casual mobile game with broad appeal, specifically targeting the lucrative market of zombie-themed games. Falcon Studio LLC lacked the time and resources to develop a game from scratch, so they turned to Mobilenani, a leading provider of ready-made mobile games, for a quick and effective solution. The goal was to launch a game that could tap into the popularity of the zombie genre while being engaging and monetizable.
Game Selection: Mobilenani provided Falcon Studio LLC with several ready-made game options, focusing on casual gameplay styles that could easily be adapted to a zombie theme. Falcon Studio LLC selected a popular endless runner game due to its simple mechanics and high replay value.
Customization and Theming: Mobilenani’s design team quickly began work on transforming the game into "Zombie Dash." Characters were reimagined as zombies and survivors, environments were given a post-apocalyptic makeover, and sound effects were altered to enhance the eerie, yet fun, atmosphere. The UI was also redesigned to incorporate Halloween elements and Falcon Studio LLC’s branding.
Monetization Strategy: The development team implemented in-app purchases for power-ups and cosmetic items, such as new characters and costumes. Additionally, rewarded video ads were integrated, offering players the chance to earn extra lives or bonuses by watching short ads.
Retention Features: To encourage daily play, Mobilenani added a daily reward system that offered players free items or currency for logging in each day. Social sharing features were also integrated, allowing players to share their high scores on social media, which helped in building a community and attracting new players.
Quality Assurance: Mobilenani’s QA team conducted rigorous testing to ensure the game ran smoothly on both Android and iOS devices. Special attention was paid to the new assets and features to ensure they were well-integrated and bug-free.
Pre-Launch Marketing: Mobilenani collaborated with Falcon Studio LLC to create a pre-launch marketing strategy, including teaser trailers and social media campaigns, to build hype leading up to the Halloween launch.
